Great start, charming chief character, awesome first few scenes and then... What happened to this book? Really? I'm all for suspenseful and intriguing plot-lines with shady characters and smut and believe me this book has information technology all in abundance, but sadly something went terribly wrong in there.

First of all let's get a grip on what the story is well-nigh. Our heroine is Ivy, a young, vibrant woman who later a problematic by conquers all and restarts her life and Jacade who is a hot surgeon past twenty-four hours and something more sinister by night. Intrigued withal? But of course..
Well Ivy and Jacade have an explosive first meeting in an elevator and so she finds out that he is her new boss -short of. Afterwards that everything goes to hell. Nothing makes real sense, all is a blur, their connection, her 'family', their past and why Jacade is bend over backwards to make her his.
But allow's put that abroad for a minute, the other problematic aspect of this book lays on the author's writing mode and skills. I understand that it's her commencement endeavour then i volition be more lenient but the truth is that even though she had great ideas she lost it somewhere. There were too many themes interjecting on the main plot-line, the narrative style was frustrating, the slutty and feminist inner voices gave me a big headache and the main ii characters sounded the same at many points.
I really wanted to love this book, and until a indicate i did, but it didn't last that long earlier the big problems fabricated their appearance. I nonetheless enjoyed the premise only information technology was over clattered and far fetched. Though the cliffhanger was interesting..

Revival is my first volume by Chiliad.K. Gilher. Wow, what debut for me. At first, I was told it was a mafia book and at the kickoff 25% of the volume, I was a scrap disappointed because I was expecting a mafia book and not a woman with self esteem bug talking throughout. I decided to keep reading and I told myself that perhaps it will get better. Boy, did it deliver. I was surprised at how I got into the book and I was just mesmerised by the story of the book. The story started to click.Revival centers on Ivy a woman who encounters a man in the lift. She has a hot encounter with him. She founds out her elevator man is the hot doctor Jacade who she works for. I mean I loved the plot of this story. A immature woman meets a hot guy(yep he was hot to the point of making my lady bits sing lol) who she is attracted to and wants. Heck I wanted to exist her lol. I was glued to the story and I wanted to notice out more than most this book. .
The writing was actually good. I was truly encganted by it and loved every moment of it. The dialogue flowed effortlessly between characters. Nevertheless, the writing did leave me a fleck underwhelmed and I wanted more out of the story but information technology was really good. I may have to read book ii understand.
The characters were amazing together and dud have crawly and off the charts chemical science. With Ivy, I experience at that place is even so more to her story and I am intrigued to find out more than. She had fun momentsv and parts that made laugh and savor. The affair that bewitched me was her self esteem problems but I ignored information technology because I loved her character. Then in that location is Jacade. I finished the book last night and have been thinking since how I would rate this book. Information technology was well written and I liked the story. But I didn't love it and there were some parts that bellyaching me so I'll go with 3.5 stars.

Later on chapter two I actually thought I had the perfect book for me. I actually liked Ivy and her thoughts. But it are those thoughts that also ruined it a lilliputian chip for me. In the showtime information technology is fun to read about the angels on her shoulder: 'Slut Ivy' and 'Feminist Ivy'. But after a while I would have skipped those small parts if I would have been sure that I didn't miss necessary parts of the story.
Examples:
Should I pull away from him? The Slut Ivy on my right shoulder rolls her eyes and says, Duh, no silly. Stay right where you are. The Feminist Ivy on my left shoulder is scowling at me. But become your ass to piece of work on time, woman. The truth is I couldn't motility an inch fifty-fifty if I wanted to. Which I don't.He'south a player, obviously. Feminist Ivy gives me a wait that says, Told ya! Now, get a goddamn grip and come sign this petition! Slut Ivy is sunbathing nude, totally oblivious to this new revelation.
I really liked Md J. Right from the offset I saw McDreamy in front of me. I estimate most of y'all know who I'k talking about? Yeah, yummy Derek Shepherd aka Patrick Dempsey from Gray'due south Anatomy. Physician J is a man with many talents. I would have liked a spanking scene in the volume though! There are several times in the book he thinks about spanking Ivy only he never does…
I like to know what both characters think so I was glad the book was written with both POV's.

Wow! I definitely enjoyed reading Revival. This book is filled with a possessive dirty mouthed, Dr. Jacade J Jordan and Ivy is the woman he craves. He cannot stand her being in impairment's way, yet he has to hide the truth from her. He has killed for her, saved her, yet the truth is dangerous.In that location were a couple of scenes which were hot like the elevator, and the shower. I love how the story has been penned down. Jacade is the kind of guy whom yous want to accept risks with. You don't know what to look next, but you certainly enjoy the thrill. Even the female graphic symbol, Ivy was portrayed in a way that you grow to love her eventually and you simply don't desire the book to terminate.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to numerous grammatical errors. They could hands be corrected to make the story flow ameliorate for the reader.
This is the get-go volume of a series and I look frontward to the next volume. There is a lot of humor in the dialog from Ivy that volition make yous smile and even giggl I really enjoyed the book and characters. Jacade is any woman's dream. Ivy is sassy and beautiful. There is an undercurrent of violence that I was not expecting but it fits the storyline.

Jacade-- What can I say about him. He's definitely added to my book boyfriends list. He is so hot, caring and protective. He is the definition of alpha male. Jacade is nighttime and dangerous. This guy oozes sexual entreatment. He is like every girl'southward fantasy.

I don't wanna give away much and spoil the whole book for y'all but I can assure yous this book is worth reading, it has a cool plot and storyline. It basically has that " I've loved y'all for years vibe". So "REVIVAL" introduces united states of america to "Ivy" and "Jacade". Their pasts are night, sinister and direful. This book is one hell of a suspenseful thriller.This book keeps y'all on the edge the entire time.
Jacade is a bad boy turned into a hot shot plastic surgeon but he'southward also kind of involved in mafia. He has some dreadful secrets which if exposed can ruin his entire life and his chances of a happily e'er later on with Ivy. Ivy, on the other hand has some serious past issues. She has made some deadly mistakes unknowingly because of which she most died. The characters were astonishing together and they had some awesome and off the charts chemical science. The sexual tension was undeniable
Simply what happens when she gets sucked into Jacade's world? What happens when she realises that her entire life was a only a lie?
REVIVAL is a perfect alloy of romance, sweetness, activity, humor and mystery.
This is 1 of those books which completely captures your attention and prevents you from getting y'all sleep *lol*. Revival is full of twists and turns. At one moment everything is so good and smooth and then suddenly BOOM Nail BOOM BAAH, plot twists, the type of twist which leaves you lot scratching your head and thinking what in the hell happened? All in all this was an amazing read for me.
I would highly recommend this book for mafia romance lovers and for those who like dark, dangerous and commanding heroes!!

Like... why is a surgeon in shady bussiness? Information technology merely seems unreal to me, maybe if he was similar a lawyer information technology would exist more believable.
And I had a trouble with Ivy's monologue. It made me remember to much of Ana's inner goddess, and with Ivy there were two: Slut Ivy and Feminist Ivy; it was distracting to read about it in sex scenes or intense/danger scenes, particularly when those two Ivys interacted with each other (why?).
Also, this book gives u.s. both of Ivy and Jacade'due south POV just I felt like they were the same person, in that location was no deviation between them and for me that was an author'south flaw, information technology should've been written in 3rd person.
